Elaboration de mélanges à base de Bio-polymères : Etude des corrélations entre structure, propriétés et transformation

Abstract : This study is a contribution to the development of a new biomaterial with suitable melt strength, stiffness-to-toughness balance, and the required thermal performance for food packaging applications. The proposed approach consists in preparing a mixture of poly (lactic acid) [PLA] / polyamide 11 [PA11] with different compositions; the main advantage being to offer a range of properties that are difficult to combine on the same polymer. The different formulations, PLA/PA11, processed in the molten state in a twin-screw extruder were studied from the side of rheological, thermal, mechanical and morphology. Different copolymers of various structures were used, at different rates, in order to promote the adhesion in the interface of the components and to improve the blend systems performances. The aim is to obtain a formulation that having an elongation behavior, in the molten state, perfectly compatible with the blowing process.
